HunnyBeez

HunnyBeez LLC was founded in 2019, when one of their owners, Andrew, left his corporate restaurant job. Andrew and Blossom, the two owners who have been friends and co-workers for over 20+ years, decided maybe now is the time to go off on their own.

They started off with an old 1970's food truck with a lot of history setting up in Newberg, Oregon in September 2019. Four months later they were asked to open up another location in Aloha. They signed the lease and then Covid-19 hit. At first, food trucks were the business to be in, but 6 months later, costs skyrocketed, and sales started dropping. The HunnyBeez team began focusing on catering and events. Doing events got them noticed and Andrew and Blossom were asked to open up a kitchen inside a downtown Portland nightclub.

Now with this new location in Portland, partnering with No Requests Nightclub, HunnyBeez was able to start a new concept called BeezWingz. This allowed them to launch their famous Adobo Wings. After a year in Portland, they found the building to no longer want food or bar service so they had to find a new spot to keep their loyal guests happy. They found the perfect spot near Portland State University on Park Avenue. On August 12, 2023 they opened their first official brick and mortar.

Unfortunately along the way they closed the Aloha location due to a lease dispute in February 2023. In June 2023, they lost their beloved historical food truck in Newberg to a fire. For now, they no longer have a Newberg location and are focusing on their Portland restaurant.

They have been successful at retaining their swarm of supporters and fans. Many have followed them to Portland.

We are excited for people that didn't know where we moved to, from our previous spot, to rediscover us.  We are also excited to have more people discover us since we are still new to the downtown Portland neighborhood, and we are hoping to become part of peoples’ weekly routine and go-to spot.

Our adorable bee mascot isn't just a cute logo, it’s a reminder to take care of ourselves and our environment and it will take care of you. We hope to take care of others in our community by feeding them and offering a warm place to hang out.
